Saribung Trekking and Peak Climbing is a journey that you will remember forever. The trek includes trekking in the rugged trails in Central Nepal, peak climbing in Nepal, cultural exploration of Nepal, unique landscapes, high cliffs cut on the edge, icy passes, glaciers, and last but not least, beautiful scenery of the Himalayas of Nepal. The trail to Saribung Peak in the isolated and far-away part of the Mustang region is a newly opened trail for both peak climbing expeditions and trekking. Saribung Peak is part of the Damodar Kunda region and Nar Phu Valley. Saribung Peak (6346 m): Climbing offers stunning panoramic views of Annapurna II (7937m), Nilgiri Himal (7061m), Himlung Himal (7126m), Mt. Manaslu (8156m), Lamjung Himal (6983 m), and the Damodar Himal range. The trek to Saribung Peak can be taken as an adventure trek too, as it is full of diverse cultures, dramatic cliffs, and picturesque views of the Himalayas.
Saribung Trekking and Peak Climbing is a long journey, unlike other trekking trails in Nepal. The journey can be limited to trekking only, but extending to the top will give you a different feeling and different scenery. The trek passes through the Mustang region and through the secluded Nar Phu Valley, where the signs of modernization can be seen very little. Thus, the Nar Phu Valley is completely remote but full of charming people influenced by Tibetan culture. The trek is packed with great vistas of the mountains of Nepal and exceptional landscapes. Besides the gift to adore, the trail also includes several monasteries, stupas, and gumbas to visit. You can also enjoy the accommodation of staying in a monastery.
The trek commences in Kathmandu after a sightseeing tour of the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley. There are several routes to reach Saribung Peak. One can start their journey with a scenic flight from Pokhara to Jomsom and take a bumpy drive to Beni. The trail is rough, walking over cut-off cliffs over the Kaligandaki gorge is adventurous, and wandering around the Mustang region and exploring the diverse culture is delightful.
Highland Eco Trek offers Saribung Trekking and Peak climbing to explore the isolated part of Mustang and taste the untouched culture of Nar Phu Valley. You may customize the trek as you like. You can just trek or you can continue the journey and climb the Saribung Peak making it a memorable expedition.
