The Dolakha Bhimsen Tour is a short tour of an important pilgrimage site for Hindu followers. The temple is situated in the Dolakha district. After a 2-3-hour scenic drive from Kathmandu to Charikot, only then does the journey to the temple start. Nepal has several religiously important pilgrimage sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Lumbini, Haleshi Mahadev, and so on, and among them, one of them is Dolakha Bhimsen temple too. Many Hindu devotees pay a visit to Bhimsen Temple. Other than that, the temple is a beloved part of the Dolakha District too.
The temple is built in pagoda style; thus, it is an architecturally beautiful piece of art. Like any other temple in Nepal, this temple also has a statute on the roof. The statue is called “Gajur” in Nepali. It is believed that the statue may be a sign of an upcoming problem in Nepal. In addition, visit the Newar village and experience the authentic Newari culture, which you may find quite different from the typical Newari culture of Kathmandu Valley. Moreover, enjoy the beautiful panoramic scenery of the Himalayas in Nepal. If you have any more spare time, you may extend your tour to Kalinchowk, which is just about an hour’s drive from Charikot.
