Champadevi Day Hiking is an easy trip to fuel your mind if you are having a rough week or month with the picturesque view of the mountains and the lush jungles. Champadevi is a beautiful hill that comes after walking through the lush pine forest at an altitude of 2285m above sea level. Champadevi Hill is a popular destination among hikers after Chisapani, Shivapuri National Park, Nagarjun Forest, Namobudhha, Chandagiri, and many other places. The place is not far from Kathmandu. It is located in the southwest of Kathmandu and is just 19 km away. The hill is located at a place called Pharping, which is a religiously important site for Nepalese Hindu and Buddhist followers.
The hike to Champadevi is relatively easy and short. The hill holds religious importance as it consists of Budhhist stupa and a Hindu temple which welcomes a large number of visitors every year on the day of a full moon. After an hour’s drive from Kathmandu, you will reach Pharping, where the official hiking starts. The hiking trail is well-managed and consists of a steady uphill walk through a flourishing pine forest. From the top of the hills, an amazing view of the Kathmandu Valley is seen. Together with that, the panoramic view of the mountains of the western Himalayan range—Langtang, Gauri Shankar, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal, and others—is visible in front of our eyes.
