The Bugmati (Bungmati) is the start of Rato Machhendranath, which is a huge Shikhara-style temple in the focal point of the town square. The chock around the temple is a show-up between most places in the Kathmandu valley. Here, you can see the core of a working Newari town. During the Ratomachindranath parade, the temple is moved around the Patan Durbar square.

After finishing the Bungmati tour, you will head north towards Khokana village and Khokana, another lovely Newar town located south of Kathmandu valley. The famous Rudrayani temple also has an excellent design in pagoda style.
