The route was first completed by Maurice Herzog in 1950. The northwest view is flawlessly seen on the trail from Mirisati Khola to Annapurna North Base Camp. The view is mesmerizing, with shimmering glaciers, mountains, glimmering high mountains, and a deep valley. The magnificent view of the Annapurna North Base Camp, Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak, and the grand Annapurna range from the first French base camp is a fantastic sight to see.

The trek to the Annapurna base camp is different from other trekking trails in the Annapurna range.
